โ€ข Tell us about a time when someoneโ€™s words made an impact on the way you saw something or made a decision. What made their words powerful?

โ€ข In your opinion, what makes someone or something trustworthy?

Think about all the voices trying to tell us whatโ€™s true todayโ€”culture, social media, personal feelings, even traditions. Itโ€™s easy to get overwhelmed or confused about what to believe. But the passage we read reminds us that all Scripture came from God and carries His full authority. Unlike the shifting opinions of the world, Godโ€™s word doesnโ€™t changeโ€”itโ€™s steady, trustworthy, and true. When youโ€™re unsure about whatโ€™s right or how to live, the Bible gives clear direction. It reflects Godโ€™s unchanging truth. Today, we will talk about why Scripture stands as the final authority of our lives.

The words of the Bible are not just human ideas or opinions. According to 2 Peter 1:21, the authors were carried along by the Holy Spirit, so what they wrote was what God wanted to say. A known theologian pointed out that to believe or disbelieve the Bible is to believe or disbelieve God. Because the Bible is Godโ€™s word, weโ€™re called to trust and submit to its full teachingโ€”not just the parts we like. God speaks to us through Scripture. How do you believe God has spoken to you through His word?

Godโ€™s word isnโ€™t just meant to inform us; it is meant to transform us. The goal isnโ€™t just to know more facts, but to be shaped by the word, so that we ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜บ ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ, ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฒ๐˜ถ๐˜ช๐˜ฑ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ง๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฆ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜บ ๐˜จ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ธ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ฌ. Scripture trains us to live like Jesus. It teaches us what is true, it corrects us when weโ€™re wrong, and it helps us grow in godly character. As we read and obey His word, God makes us more like Christโ€”not overnight, but little by little, equipping us to reflect Him in everything we do. In what ways has the word of God brought transformation in your life?

In a world of shifting opinions and relative truth, Godโ€™s word stands as our unchanging and ultimate standard of truth. Because the Bible is the very word of God, we are to believe it, submit to it, live it out and treasure it above all. As we know God through His word and do what He says, our lives are transformed. When we allow Godโ€™s word to shape our thoughts, correct our paths, and train our hearts to reflect Christ, we live lives that bring Him glory and honor.

โ€ข What voices in your life tend to influence you the mostโ€”media, friends, culture, feelings? What steps can you take to ensure Godโ€™s word is the only and final authority in your life?

โ€ข How has Scripture shaped your mindsets and character in the past year? Reflect on how God has transformed you through His word.

โ€ข Think of a friend, a family member, or someone who needs hope right now. How can you encourage this person this week with what youโ€™ve learned about the authority of Godโ€™s word?

๐—ฃ๐—ฅ๐—”๐—ฌ๐—˜๐—ฅ

โ€ข Praise God for giving us His word that stands firm and never changes in a world full of lies and confusion. Ask Him to give you a deep love and hunger for His word.

โ€ข Pray for God to help you trust and submit to the entirety of His wordโ€”not just the parts that are familiar or comfortable. Ask God to use His word to transform you, helping you become more like Jesus in your thoughts, words, and actions.

โ€ข Ask God to help you share His word with others this weekโ€”encouraging, teaching, and pointing them to Christ.
