Jesusโ resurrection is a historical fact, in which we can have confidence for our faith and hope for our future. As we put our faith in Him and the gospelโHis life, death, and resurrectionโwe have been forgiven from our sins and have been restored to a right relationship with God. It is because of His resurrection that Jesus is not just our Savior but the resurrected King, victoriously reigning in power and glory. Today, letโs look at what King Jesus is victorious over.

As the King who resurrected in glory, Jesus has power and authority over everything. God the Father has brought all things under Jesusโ feet, so the risen Christ has the power and authority to destroy all other authorities and enemies. This includes the devil and his forces, the sinful nature, and all other corrupted forces reigning over humanity today. Christ defeated them already and will have a sure victory in the future. What attitude must we then have even when we struggle against the enemy and sin in the present?

Death is one of the biggest fears we have, but is also one of the realities that all will face. What comfort we have that Jesus is victorious even over death. In Christ, ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ ๐ด๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ ๐ฃ๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ญ๐ช๐ท๐ฆ. Even though we may experience death, we shall live again just as Christ has risen again. This means that death is not the end. Death does not have the final say. This is not just about physical death. Eternal deathโeternal condemnation and the consequences of sin in eternityโwill no longer be the reality for those who have put their faith in Christ. Because Christ has been raised, we can experience life in Godโs presence, the kind of life He plans for us. What does John 10:10 say?ย
The victory of Christ is for everyone who believes in Him. As we experience His victory in this life, we can help others experience it too. We are to preach the gospel of hope in Christโs victory to this fallen world. The victory of Christ over all things assures us that we can have victory even in the challenges we face as we pursue His mission. May we not lose heart even if we experience rejection or persecution as we preach the gospel, for the life-changing power and victory of Christ is the message we carry.
